Author Biographies

Hassan Soubhi, Université de Sherbrooke

Dr. Soubhi has expertise in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Promotion, and Ecosystemic approaches to health care. His research activities are guided by an ecosystemic approach to health and disease determinants, with an emphasis on the development of optimal strategies of chronic illness management. In particular, Dr. Soubhi is currently working on the adaptation of the Communities of Practice framework to interprofessional learning in primary health care.

John Gilbert, University of British Columbia

Dr. Gilbert has expertise in experimental method and statistical analyses. His research in health education policy and interprofessional education is guided by an understanding of the relationship between education and practice. He is currently focusing on the development of interprofessional collaborative teams in primary health care.

Gwen Halaas, University of Minnesota

Dr. Halaas has expertise in Family Medicine, Rural Health Education, Health Promotion and Healthcare Management. Her leadership and scholarship are currently directed toward transforming health professions education for student competency in interprofessional collaboration addressing such priority content areas as leadership, teamwork, ethics, informatics, quality and systems. Dr. Halaas is working with health care systems and communities to develop new models of interprofessional care delivery that can provide effective educational experience.
